Energy IQ is an innovative energy management tool that provides users with vital insights and features to efficiently manage their electricity, natural gas, and LPG usage. Designed to simplify energy management, the platform equips users with the tools they need to monitor consumption, track trends, and make informed decisions for optimized energy use.

During my time at Genesis Energy as a Senior UX Designer, I played a pivotal role in shaping end-to-end user journeys, working feature by feature in an Agile environment with multidisciplinary teams.

In this fast-paced setting, my work revolved around a frequent iterative design approach, where prototyping, testing, and refining designs within sprints were central to success. This cycle of continuous improvement ensured that the user remained at the heart of the process, allowing the experience to evolve dynamically based on real-world feedback.

Collaboration was key. I worked closely with the Product Owner and Business Analyst, consulted Frontend, Backend Devs and Solution Architect to define project goals from the user’s perspective. Together, we tackled problems, validated assumptions, and formulated hypotheses to uncover the optimal solutions for every feature. Each project phase—from discovery to delivery—focused on balancing user needs with business goals.

This case study showcases a selection of impactful “bite-sized” projects that I contributed to during my tenure. These examples highlight how my process, adaptability, and user-centered design approach drove innovation and enhanced the Energy IQ platform.
